I’ve known Ana Maria Lowry for several years and never thought I would need her help get to the marketplace. Ain’t Yo’ Mama’s Baked Beans was established as a business January 2018, I had a lot of learning to do. I would meet people along the way that dropped knowledge, but I needed a mentor/someone to hold my hand because I got frustrated trying to put the pieces together myself. Ana Maria and I meet for lunch, I was sharing what’s new with me and she began to tell me about Florida Diversity Business Council grant program for minority businesses. And I’m so glad she did.
Working with the Council has helped me take all the pieces I’d gathered to build the path that God has for me. Reaching out the right companies and meeting other firms that have gone through this great organization. Ain’t Yo’ Mama’s Baked Beans now has the Food Permit, Commissary Kitchen and was accepted at the Winter Garden Farmers Market as a new vendor. Tears of joy come to my eyes when think about how you’ve helped remove the weight I was trying to carry on my own.Thank you and my God our Father continue to use your gift to help others in the marketplace.
